Please fill in an Online Request Form on our website.

HOLIDAYS

• Students must fill in a request form if they want to take holidays during their 26 week course. Only students with 80% attendance will have their holiday request considered.

• Requests are made through our website. This helps us to process student requests quickly and more efficiently.

• Students will be notified by the Registrar if their holiday has been granted or denied. Students cannot take holidays without permission.

CHANGING LEVEL

• No student can move level without written consent from the Registrar. Sometimes, there is a waiting list to join certain levels.

• Any student wishing to move up a level must consult their teacher, complete a End of Level test and fill in a request form.

• Level change tests, progress test results, attendance, participation in class and teachers opinion are all considered before moving a student up a level. The final decision is with the teacher.

• We advise students to finish at least 8 weeks of their course before considering changing levels.

Morning Afternoon

CLASS SCHEDULE

• 9am – 11pm: Grammar• 15 min. break from 11am to 11.15am• 11.15am – 12.15pm: Speaking skills

• 1pm – 3pm: Grammar• 15 min. break from 3pm to 3.15pm• 3.15pm – 4.15pm: Speaking skills

Class Rules:• No entry after 9.15am or 1.15pm. If you arrive late, you will not be allowed into class and

you must wait in the library until the second part of class.

• Mobile phones must be turned off during class.

• Classrooms are English only zones.

• Students MUST have a book for their classes!

• Weekly Progress Test every Thursday.

• Student of the Month last Thursday of every month.

• From time to time teachers may take classes on impromptu excursions around city.

EXAMINATIONS

• EFB LCCI Exams take place monthly in the school.

• All classes are prepared for the exams in their syllabus.

• All Non EU students must sit the official EFB exam during their course. This is in accordance with their visa conditions.

• Exam levels range from Preliminary (A1) to Level 4 (C2).

• Your teacher will discuss the right level for you individually.

• The exam incorporates:• Reading and writing• Listening• Speaking

EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

• Free activities every month to practise your English and make new friends:

• Monthly excursions• Student parties• Free conversation classes between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. • Free movie sessions on Fridays• Private excursions on weekends

• Full schedules are on the noticeboards around the school and on our Social Media channels.

STUDENT LEAP CARD

• Student Leap Card is a national discount card that can be used in several shops and public transportation.

• €15

• Valid until December of the current year

• Documents needed:• Enrolment Letter• Passport or ID document• Stamped Application Form (Request it to your agent)

• You can apply at Trinity College (Ask your agent for further instructions).

ATTENDANCE

• Students must maintain an attendance rate of 80% weekly.

• Students missing from class for 1 week are issued a first warning for poor attendance and removed from the class list.

• Students missing from class for 2 weeks are issued a second warning email.

• After 4 warnings, a student is expelled.

• Non EU students with attendance under 80% may be denied a visa renewal.

ATTENDANCE

• Daily Attendance Lists are a legal document.

• You must sign it with your actual signature.

• It’s illegal to sign in the name of another person.

• ID Card may be required to confirm your identity.

• Disciplinary actions may take place if our staff discover any trace of forged signatures.

EU STUDENTS WITH A MEDICAL PROBLEM

• EU students with a European Health Insurance card (EHIC) can receive free treatment at most GPs (family Doctor).

• Participating Doctors are in the Primary Care Reimbursement Services (PCRS) Scheme. Ask your Doctor in advance or you might have to pay €60 upwards.

• A list of all PCRS Doctors can be found at your local HSE Health Office or online:

NON EU STUDENTS WITH A MEDICAL PROBLEM

• All Non EU students studying at NED Training Centre are insured by O'Driscoll O'Neil Insurance. This insurance is mandatory from the Irish Government and has limited coverage (Check conditions).
