CESD Safety Policy - Chinooks Edge School Division’s Safety policy is the guiding document for the Occupational Health and Safety Program.

Assignment of Safety Responsibilities -Every individual must accept responsibility for his or her personal safety and the safety of those around them. All supervisory personnel must eliminate or control hazards in their work areas.  The assignment of responsibilities is to be adhered to by all personnel as listed.

Responsibility to refuse unsafe work

No worker shall carry any work if on reasonable and probable grounds, the worker believes that there exists an imminent danger to the health or safety of that worker or another worker present. (If you think it will hurt you or anyone else, you must not do that work)

Imminent Danger

A danger that is not normal for the occupation, or

A danger under which a person engaged in that occupation would not normally carry out the person’s work.
