There are three things that, together, make us unique:

• 1852 Inns of Court School of Law founded – now part of City Law School

• 1877 St Bartholomew’s College of Nursing founded – now part of School of Health Sciences

• 1894 Northampton Institute founded by City of London livery companies:• many original subjects still offered

• 1927 One of the first to educate Optometrists

• 1966 City University London received Royal Charter

• 2002 Sir John Cass Business School endowed by former Lord Mayor of London Sir John Cass
