WELCOME MESSAGE!Welcome to your distance learning Preparing to teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS) COURSE, my name is Prisca Kennedy and I am your tutor. This course comprises of a mixture of e-learning independent study and online tutor support.

PREPARING TO TEACH IN THE LIFELONG LEARNING SECTOR(PTLLS)This qualification is appropriate for all new entrants to teaching in the lifelong learning sector, or for those who are required to achieve a recognised teaching status as defined in the New Overarching Professional Standards for Teachers, Tutors and Trainers in the Lifelong Learning Sector. This qualification will be taken by all teachers, in a full or associated roleCareer OpportunitiesTeaching in a College of FE, Adult and Community Learning, HM Prisons, the Armed Forces, work based learning provision, commercial training and development roles etc.

In the next few weeks you are expected to complete daily tasks toward compiling evidence for your portfolio.

A candidate must produce a portfolio of work which covers all assessment criteria of this qualification supported on-line by the tutor/assessor. The completed portfolio containing evidence will then be checked by the internal verifier and subsequently submitted for external verification.

Tutor support will be provided during the following hours: Monday 7pm-9pm Tuesday 7pm-9pm Wednesday 7pm-9pmThursdays 7pm-9pm Friday 7pm-9pmIt will beneficial and avoid time emails seeking clarification for both parties to list specific queries cross referencing it the assignment number and task.
