We are looking for a highly skilled Project Manager to provide excellent planning and to champion high quality performance for learning, teaching and curriculum as part of the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF) project. This project is to support Third Country Nationals, including refugees, to settle in the UK and to support us on widening participation and promote social inclusion in Adult Community education programmes, ensuring promotion and development of educational expertise. This is a hands-on role, operating at pace, interfacing with team members, leaders, managers and stakeholders at all others, but offers also the opportunity to shape and develop strategic plans.
You will be qualified in Higher Education to a Degree, HND or equivalent level, have a strong planning and performance tracked record gained within an educational environment, but also bring with you a strong commercial outlook, experience of working collaboratively, strong engagement and drive for high quality delivery and be able to work at pace. You will lead a project team of Curriculum Delivery Officers, Administrators and tutors and form part of the College Management Team.
You will bring excellent communication and interpersonal skills and work closely with managers and leaders to understand, challenge, measure and develop the capability of their teams. Welsh language skills at level 3 are desirable.
You will be highly organised and results focussed and will be able to work independently, developing and participating in multiple work streams including, Quality Assurance, teaching and learning observation and regional business plan deliverables (including diligence for management of financial resources). Ensuring operational support systems and processes are work effectively in place to enhance delivery and support learners, potential learners, tutors, partners, volunteers and funders

ROLE PROFILE
Job Title: AMIF Project Manager
Base: Cardiff, with regular travel based on project needs.
Reporting to: Curriculum and Welsh Medium Provision Manager
Job Purpose: To support the Senior Management and Project Management Team in co-ordinating the objectives and outcomes of the AMIF project.
Length of contract: Fixed term from October 2020 – December 2022
Hours of work: Full time, 35 hours per week
Pay scale: MG4 – UPS1, £29,864 - £37,644
Main duties and responsibilities
1. To provide the co-ordination and organisation capability and capacity that is required to deliver the objectives and outcomes of the project
2. To work in conjunction with the Finance and Payroll Manager with in preparing monitoring reports to support the strategic objectives of the project and to inform the Project Management Team.
3. To liaise with Regional Managers and Curriculum Delivery Officers in the planning and co-ordination of delivery across the regions
4. To continuously monitor, evaluate and report on project management issues on a regular basis, and implement corrective action as required
5. Provide line management of AMIF project Curriculum Delivery Officers and Administrators, and work with HR to manage recruitment, selection, development and appraisal in accordance with Addysg Oedolion Cymru | Adult Learning Wales policies and procedures
6. To continuously monitor targets against agreed strategy and in conjunction with the Project Management Team, implement corrective action where performance indicators are under target
7. In conjunction with the Project Management Team, to develop project plans, including the identification of appropriate activities and key deliverables, ensuring that the outcomes are delivered in a timely manner
8. To monitor and contribute to the management of the project budget, ensuring that it is in line with the submitted profile
9. To report on progress at regular intervals through the preparation of reports and briefings
10. To have responsibility for promotion and marketing within the project, ensuring compliance with contract guidelines.
11. To ensure that all stakeholders are kept engaged and continuously informed and effective working relationships are developed and maintained
12. To work in conjunction with the project Administrative team in developing and maintaining a sound system of project records
13. To work in conjunction with the Project Management Team in establishing and maintaining clear lines of communication with partners to continually identify best practice and opportunities for collaborative working
14. To produce a monthly report monitoring and evaluating progress against the agreed strategy
15. To develop and support a network of community learning representatives.
16. Provide Curriculum support and development across the main areas of the project
17. To co-ordinate and organise regular team meetings
18. Keep up to date with current developments, in order to identify learning opportunities and training needs
19. Contribute to the development and implementation of systems and procedures to enable the Organisation’s operations
20. To cover for any colleagues as reasonably required
21. To carry out any other duties and responsibilities as reasonably required by the post
