Collective Nouns
There many words denoting groups. A special word is used with certain kinds of
Persons,animals or groups.
Compound Nouns
These nouns contain two or more words that join together
to make single noun.
And also this a type of compound word that is used to designate
a person ,place or thing .
eg:
1. Carpeted road2. New building3. Tram cars4. Old vehicles5. Main sreet6. Bullock cart7. Three wheeler8. World Trade Centre
Activity One
Read the text in unit 2 activity 9, pick out the collective nouns in bold type.
Eg : 1. a herd of cattle 2. a bunch of duck
Write them down in your writing book.
