Pioneers FunctionIt was an honour to welcome 15 new Pioneers to the City of Wanneroo at a function held at Bridgeleigh Reception Centre. The title of Pioneers is awarded to long-term residents who have contributed to our community and lived in the City for 50 years of their adult life.
We now have 116 Pioneers and it is wonderful to hear stories of the past and celebrate Wanneroo’s rich history.
All Pioneers were presented with a special gift, the book “Live, Work, Play: Wanneroo Recollections.”
The book tells the stories of the people who helped to establish Wanneroo and whose hard work has laid the foundations for what has become one of Australia’s fastest growing cities. Many of our Pioneers are proudly featured in the book.
To read profi les of our 15 new Pioneers please visit our website.
