WALKING BASS AND BOOM CHICK Walking bass uses the major scale to walk into the upcoming chord, giving the listener a sense of walking from one chord to the next. Each of the following exercises presents an example of walking bass first and then it mixes the boom chick rhythm with walking bass. They are written first in tab and in standard notation.
