What is WRA?
The mission of the Water Resources
Agency (WRA) is to provide water-
resources planning and policy
assistance to governments in
Delaware, the Delaware Valley, and
along the Eastern Seaboard through
the University’s land-grant public
service, education, and research role.
Its goal is to be recognized as the best
university water-resources planning
and policy organization east of the
Mississippi River.
Funding support for WRA comes from
federal, state, and local government
partners, including the State of
Delaware, New Castle County, the City
of Newark, and the City of Wilmington,
as well as specific local, regional, and
federal grants.
Where is WRA?
WRA is located in Newark, Del., on
UD’s main campus, off Academy
Street in the Delaware Geological
Survey (DGS) Annex, which is a little
house behind Penny Hall and a rain
garden.
