There are almost four years that our magazine provides news to the inhabitants of virtual worlds.

During this time, we have changed names and expanded our audience by choosing to write only in English. We always tried to talk about the many aspects of virtual worlds, mainly Second Life, where we have placed our main editorial office. Our concept of magazine covers both custom items , news , and tips on how to pass the time, about places to visit, and the fashion world too.In fact, in these years we have tried to present to readers: characters, places, events, games and uses of this crazy virtual world. We believe that adaptability is a key requirement especially in a rapidly changing world such as the virtual worlds. For this reason, our staff has been enriched by members with different skills. Currently we are interested in a lot of photography, news, fashion, and the technological. We also have dedicated pages to the virtual worlds different from Second Life.

Keep in touch!

Like every year the sum-mer and returns with it the beachwear. It's never easy to de-

cide the style of the summer but something always has to be a trendsetter and this year we have the return of 50's style: beautiful, elegant even on the beach, with light colors and small floral patterns or polka dots.Nothing is random, straw hat, jewelry, bags and makeup are specially chosen to give accent to the femininity of those who want to get noticed.

This year must be strictly show the curves of the female body, so sweet and sinuous to draw out the hidden diva in every woman, because they're the stars of the summer 2015.

Hush little babydon't run a script

In the last issue we analyzed what is love in the age of virtual platforms, let them be MMORPG, chatrooms or something mixed like Second Life. We saw how a re-

lationship with this platform can be brought to a new level when we speak about marriage and engagement or communion of permis-sions, but what will happen when we reach a higher level? The marriage itself doesn't mean that for couples there's nothing more, who worked on Second Life to widen and fill this world discovered something brand new and, possibly, one of the most dangerous topics in this theme: breeding. How can this be possible? Basically breeding in Second Life is this: you enter a store, you

choose a brand new baby or an embryo to be implanted, you pay and then boom, you have a son. But for people who don't want just a doll to be cuddled the choice is wide, both with avatar accessories or babies to be rezzed on ground. Obviously they need food, a cradle, diapers and other stuff and these things have a cost. In Second Life's specific case every virtual baby needs spe-cific products made by the baby's creator. Costs? Every HUD, applier and apparel cost almost like the adult ones. But you do this and more for your own blood, right?Now... how can you make babies in Second Life? Skilled users offer specific help in this with products and places. Also maternity clinics, like Marielucille Macpherson's one. Every couple who want a son isn't limited to just buy it from vendors, but with a care-ful screening composed of dialogue with the new parents, blood tests and other tests lice echographies and echocardiographies (I don't know exactly how they work, so I give the benefit of doubt) and works as a hospi-tal sometimes. At this point there's the real birth, that can be done at home or in suit-able structures. Birth room, bathtubs, pools, waterfalls and even a coffin-shaped tub for Vampires' newborns, choice is wide and various. Obviously certain services are ex-pensive since pregnancy can last a week, a month and so on to nine months, it's still a long job for the doctor.

| Virtual Second night - Issue 39 - June 201576

77Virtual Second night - Issue 39 - June 2015

Where does the wish to breed a virtual soncomes from? Often it's a sublimation of the will to have a son with a person, thing that for a reason or another can't be done, and the reason for this choice, surprisingly, is pure love, more often than a simple game of mother and son or a caprice, will to stay to-gether is stronger than a simple distraction. Even who is alone and wants to experience, even in a fictional way, having a son can do it, it's the vantage of Second Life, asexual re-production.A practice risk-free and in total serenity. In reality nothing is without risks and tending a precompilated and 3D modeled baby has the same threat as everything in Second Life: possible alienation. Lots of product offer a good simulation of maternity and paternity, but it's just this, a simple simulation. Like if you want a son you're suitable only because you own a doll. And in short that's what it is. So you always need a firm mind when from the speakers you hear a newborn laughter since it's not a real baby.

To StoryBrookeThis way to a fairytale

writer and photographer : Zily Resident

83Virtual Second night - Issue 39 - June 2015

Today the destination for the exploration of Second Life leads us to Storybrooke Gardens, the land belongs

to Lauren Bentham and the gardens are only a small part of what she built, in fact, thanks to the teleport is possible to reach other locations. One of these, Everwinter is inspired by the abandoned amusement park in the real world city of Pripyat and the audio message you can hear in russian as you enter is the actual recording of the evacuation mes-sage played to the city following the nuclear disaster at chernobyl.Otherwise, if you prefer a more sum-mer destination there is Baja Norte and Baja Cove, two land stick to-gether to form two relaxing islands and only in this land you can rent cabins, but you could decide to vis-it the land and possibly take some pictures without paying the rent. The last one that I explored more thoroughly is Storybrooke, is com-posed exclusively of a giant garden with style fairytale, colorful and lively. There are many paths so it's easy to get lost and to keep com-pany to the visitor there are sweet little animals, fairies and goblins everywhere. In some ways it's re-

minded me the world of Alice in Wonderland although they are to-tally different from each other.

When you getting lost in the gar-den you can easily find a home, it's not the only one, but is the only life-size human, in fact the others present are small and designed specifically for small animals that live in the forest. The house reflects the style of the garden, probably the person who lives there appre-ciate a lot the cats, by the fact the number of felins gathered on a sin-gle chair.

Unlike other locations Storybrooke is the only one with a video pre-sentation, it is easy to find on You-Tube and has been created by the owner. The video show shortly and very well all over the garden;

| Virtual Second night - Issue 39 - June 201584

85Virtual Second night - Issue 39 - June 2015

the protagonist is a fairy and she is riding a giant dragonfly, unfortu-nately you can not do the same in the world and it is pity.

Explore the garden seems easy and perhaps too fast, once you fin-ish the tour returns to the point of arrival, but if you pay attention to details and little secrets of the land it will not be so fast. In addition as mentioned above is easy to get lost among through the paths and there are not always so obvious to find.

On balance Storybrooke is a really nice land, suitable for simple and imaginative exploration, but also to take photos especially for blog-gers with a lot of ideas and back-grounds to be exploited. The other land that havn't been treated spe-cifically worth exploring in every corner.

Nothing more to say, Lauren Ben-tham created awesome locations.

During this June we visit-ed Vivaldi a nice place to explore. It is a beautiful sim with something for

everyone. Vivaldi is a beautiful scenic sim with different areas to explore. There are places to cuddle with your sweetheart, play a game of Greedy in the lighthouse or snap pictures! From beachfront views to, after a bit of a climb, a snow covered mountain. This sim is really some-thing special and a must visit. Vivaldi was named for a classical composer Antonio Vivaldi who composed the instrumental piece “Four Seasons” . Here at Vivaldi you can find all four seasons.Vivaldi has scenic places around the sim that are perfect for tak-ing pictures, hanging out with that special someone, or with a group of friends.
