I want to welcome you to our latest edition of the
ReConnection and thank you for being a part of the
ReCon Family. Time continues to fly by. We have
seen the first of 2017 come and go and we are
quickly approaching Easter. God has truly blessed
us with a lot of work at this time. Opportunities
continue to come in on a daily basis and we are
excited to see where God is leading. We have
several large proposals that we are working on and
feel confident this will be the year of recovery from
the past several slow years. So hang on! The
roller coaster is moving fast.
A lot of you have asked about Reggy since his
retirement. I am excited to say that Reggy is en-
joying his retirement and is staying very busy. I am
so proud of Reggy and I know Bob is as well. He
has volunteered a lot of his precious time in helping
others. Please read our article on Reggy titled,
“Country Boy at Heart.” Please take a few minutes
and review what’s happening in the lives of the
ReCon Family.
God is Good! All the Time!
I know everyone has probably heard this statement
before; but do we truly believe it? God’s Word tells
us that He wanted a relationship with us and had
so great a love for us that he sacrificed His Son for
our sins. WOW! Have you ever stopped and really
contemplated this? There are a lot of you that are
parents. What would you do for the love of others?
My children and grandchildren are very precious to
me and my wife. I cannot imagine having to make
that sacrifice but God did for me and you.
“For the Lord is good and His love endures forever;
His faithfulness continues to each generation.”
Psalm 100:5

“For God so loved the world that He gave His
only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in
Him, should not perish but have everlasting life.
For God sent not His Son into the world to con-
demn the world but that the world through Him
might be saved.” John 3:16-17
Don Moen wrote this song – “God is Good All the
Time.”
Please see the lyrics below – what a great song!
[Chorus]
God is good all the time
He put a song of praise in this heart of mine
God is good all the time
Through the darkest night, His light will shine
God is good, God is good all the time
If you're walking through the valley
And there are shadows all around
Do not fear, He will guide you
He will keep you safe and sound
'Cause He's promised to never leave you
Nor forsake you and His Word is true
[Chorus]
God is good all the time
He put a song of praise in this heart of mine
God is good all the time
Through the darkest night, His light will shine
God is good, God is good all the time
We were sinners and so unworthy
Still for us He chose to die
Filled us with His Holy Spirit
Now we can stand and testify
That His love is everlasting
And His mercies - they will never end
[Chorus]
God is good all the time
He put a song of praise in this heart of mine
God is good all the time
Through the darkest night, His light will shine
God is good, God is good all the time

As many are aware, Reggy Saxon was the third partner of ReCon
along with Roger Boyette and Bob Lyons. Since retiring—if you can
call it that—Reggy has probably worn as many different hats as he did
while working at ReCon. He is now a farmer, a baseball coach, grand-
father (able to spend more time with his grandchildren), but the most
rewarding is serving on the Southern Baptist Disaster Relief team for
the Carey Baptist Association and helping in the same position with the
Catholic Charities, repairing homes for the disabled, poor and widows.
In March of 2016 Reggy helped those who were affected by the flood in
Vinton. If he would have had a title it would have been one of “Director
of Operations,” states Rob Tibbits, Pastor of Crossroads Baptist
Church. He handled all of the day-to-day operations of the many vol-
unteers. He was the go-to guy for every need, handling all of the lo-
gistic issues, procuring all supplies, coordinating all workers and over-
seeing all jobs in progress. Vinton had 700 plus homes affected. Reg-
gy also did the same job in Welsh, Lake Arthur, Gueydan, Jennings
and Youngsville when the flood of August 2016 affected over 100
homes. He is still working on rebuild projects around the Welsh area
as well in Starks and the surrounding vicinity.
He recently returned home from being deployed on the Trinity Disaster
Team from Hattiesburg, MS, where a tornado destroyed several homes
and buildings at Williams Carey University. Reggy headed up a chain-
saw crew of eight (8) men that went to serve. They helped clean up
big trees so families could get back into their homes to access the
damage done.
At the end of the day though, Reggy’s “happy place” since retiring is
either watching and working with his cows, or driving and working with
his tractor. He is pleased to report he’s almost doubled his herd this
year with five (5) new calves on the ground. Reggy is just as busy at
being retired as he was working with ReCon. He has greatly enjoyed
serving our mighty LORD by helping others that are hurting and in
need. He is one happy man!

All the plans He left for me

Let’s keep God at the forefront of our lives and make Him our priority in life. Praying for you and your family. Thanks, Roger.

Angel Ardoin, the oldest daughter of Dolly Ardoin, an employee at
Westlake, graduated from McNeese State University on December
10, 2016. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing.
On January 9, 2017, she traveled to Houston and took the NCLEX
test and passed it. She is now a licensed nurse and already has a
job at Memorial Hospital in the OR. The family is so proud of her for
her accomplishments, as she had a few hurdles to overcome along
the way.

Coach Tarius Davis asked his
team to help collect donations
for house fire victim, Hannah
Jones, and her family that
suffered severe burns. Decid-
ing to give post season Red
Zone cards for any donation
made, the team was instruct-
ed to do what they could. On a
Saturday and Sunday, five
freshman football players col-
lected $1,300! One freshman
alone collected $100 and four
others collected $1,200 from
residents of Vinton. One of
those four was Cody Laird, the
son of Bevin Laird, a Sulphur
office employee and one
proud Mama!

sible for all branch operations and handles home, boat, car and
line of credit loans.
In December 2016 Steve Cating’s
daughter, Chelsey, received a Ther-
apist of the Year award for her
company. Chelsey works for Center
for Autism and Related Disorders
(CARD) as a behavioral therapist at
one of the Baton Rouge offices.
Chelsey’s responsibilities include
training new therapists as well as
working alongside the administra-
tive staff to improve the quality of
service that her office provides.
Chelsey recently took the position
of Therapist Liaison in CARD’s
Denham Springs office where she
will oversee all therapists in that
office.

The Flood of August 2016
The disastrous flooding that hit Baton Rouge and surrounding areas in August 2016, was devastating to thousands of people. Nu-
merous homes were destroyed, people had to be rescued, and many ended up living in shelters for months. Several of our ReCon
employees and their families decided to help those in need. Frank Fleener, an employee at Westlake, and his wife Mary, along with
Tami Tolbert and members of her family volunteered to help with the cleanup effort. Many people from ReCon donated supplies, in
fact so much that they had to borrow the ReCon trailer to haul them to Baton Rouge. They prepared food and went to the neighbor-
hood pictured below. They were able to serve the families that were gutting homes breakfast and lunch, and were able to hand out
supplies such as buckets, brooms, mops, paper towels, etc. They also had several crews that helped gut an elderly couple’s home.
The pictures below speak for themselves and the devastation experienced, but the crew that helped was also able to show love and
hope to those that needed it most at the time.
To those of you that donated money or supplies to help this team be so successful in
helping others. And to all those that traveled to Baton Rouge and surrounding areas
that physically worked to help others, your witness by serving others was surely wel-
comed by all those that were overwhelmed and needed help! YOU ROCK!

March for Life 2017 Youth Pilgrimage
from the desk of Ronda Wyninger
Michael Wyninger is an employee in our Sulphur office, and recently his family and an exchange student that currently resides with them,
participated in the March for Life in Washington, D.C. Ronda Wyninger is in charge of pictures and videos that are placed on their church’s
website as well as the youth and Diocese Facebook page. Following is a summary of their trip which began the day of January 23rd leaving
Lake Charles, LA and returning home January 28th.
About 150 youth and adults from the Diocese of Lake Charles, which included Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Saint Theresa, and
Our Lady of Prompt Succor, made about a 60 hour round bus trip to attend the National March for Life in Washington, D.C. During the five
(5) day trip, many different spiritual experiences were witnessed.
On the first day in Washington, D.C. the group was able to tour the Vietnam, Korean, Lincoln Memorials and monuments. They also visited
St. John Paull II Shrine, touring the facility and watching documentaries of his journey to becoming the Pope. Afterwards, they visited the
Franciscan Monastery of the Holy Land of American and had a guided tour of the facility.
As the second day dawned, they were able to have Mass with the entire group of students from Louisiana which numbered about 1,400, and
then toured the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception. Afterwards they prayed at the Planned Parenthood location
and then walked while praying the rosary from the White House to the Holocaust Museum, which they toured later that afternoon. The group
then listened to a mother and daughter as they told how abortion had affected their lives. The night ended with good Louisiana fun with les-
sons on Cajun dancing and the proper etiquette for boys and girls on the dance floor.
The next day the group attended the Louisiana Geaux Forth Rally which included youth from Baton Rouge, Lafayette, Houma and many
other parishes. Afterwards, they were able to tour The Arlington National Cemetery, praying at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and they
were able to watch the changing of the guard. The group then traveled to Fairfax, VA along with 10,000 other youth to attend the Life is Very
Good Rally and Adoration Vigil.
On Friday, January 27th, after celebrating Mass the youth attended the annual March for Life, showing support for the pro-life movement.
These students learned they can achieve Culture of Life through prayer and sacrifice. They also learned a lot about history, while also de-
fending the rights of unborn children. They were very excited to have actively participated in such a historical moment. The days and nights
were packed with activities, one trip they aren’t likely to forget any time soon.

REALITY CHECK! Very few people really like needles. Unfortunately some
people like Dylan have no choice but to endure needles. Donating blood is a
vital part of sustaining life. If you are able….please give! We hosted the first
of four (4) blood drives on March 6th at the Sulphur office and we were
blessed to have 13 people that donated in his honor and another five (5) peo-
ple that weren’t able to donate this time, but they had every intention of giving
selflessly for Dylan. If you aren’t able to donate at our drives, but you are able
to donate somewhere else, be sure to tell them you work for ReCon; we as a
company receive credit for any future needs, and Dylan receives credit for
units donated in his name. Please also continue to keep Dylan in your pray-
ers for healing grace.
