133rd NGAUS General ConferenceMilwaukee, Wis.Aug. 27-29, 2011

The party committee published a souvenirjournal containing advertisements from localbusiness and individuals. Each Company in theBattalion had their own page, displaying theirindividual logos. The Journal also contains theLineage and Honors of the 101st Sig Bn and ahistory of the Battalion from it's inception in1886 to the present day. The rich history of theunit includes the organization and Reorgs, themajor calls to active duty, and is the story of themen and women of New York who wore theuniform of the US Army. This history should berequired reading for all officers and NCO's anda subject for enlisted soldier briefings.

The Battalion History is a record of proudachievements accomplished by folks like us -citizen soldiers who stood ready to answer thecall of the Governor or the President of the US.

This history is still being written today, by theyoung men and women who wear the uniformand and 101st Signal Battalion crest. Frommy observations the 101st is in good hands. The dedicated National Guard Personal I seeand speak to are the best New York to offer. They will write new, proud chapters in thehistory of the 101st. Good Luck to Them. Inclosing, I would say of the Ball -- the food wasgood, the company excellent andcongratulations to the party committee.
