In the field Creeping Indigo grows very low to the ground, creeping out in all directions. The leaves may range in size from very small to

approximately the size of a fingernail.

Seeds are clustered and bean pod shaped (quarter for scale)

The flowers are pink to light purple, conical,

and resemble pea flowers (quarter for

scale)

Leavers are oblong, alternate, and smooth to the touch (quarter

for scale)
