Thats my story! Activities
o Speech and Debate Club with Mrs. Smith 1st at State in 5A Congressional Debate
o Madrigal Pianist; and I sing in Concert Choir o I love to play tennis but Im not on any school teams.
Thats it! Any questions?

What Every Sophomore Should Know
According to James Clift
1. Your locker is unnecessary.
2. Dont worry about being popular. It is a waste of time, and you could be busy having fun. Besides, we
all know who is going to be popular when high school is over the rich nerdy kid. 3. Sophomore parking is north of the tennis courts (north-west of the building)
4. The Senior Bench is OFF-LIMITS. You will know it when you see it.
5. You CA NNOT leave class even if the teacher doesnt show up. You WILL get a truancy. I have
SEEN it happen.
6. If you want to go out to lunch but you dont have a car or somebody else to take you, you can walk to
Arctic Circle or Zeponies. Go to the bus drop off zon e, head east, and go left. You cant miss it.
7. During football games or other sporting events hosted on Viewmonts field, the student seating
section is in the middle of the western bleachers, although you dont really have to sit in the middle.
You WILL look like an idiot sitting on the eastern bleachers.
8. Go to SRC every day. You will regret having to attend SRC more than one term.
9. Dont get ANY failing grades or you will have to take SRC again, which totally sucks.
a. (If it were up to me, Id make you get st raight-As, because that would save you $10,000s of
college tuition dollars in the future)
10. High school is about your education, and, most importantly, your future. Get involved in at least one
club, team, or organization within the school. This will help you stay occupied in school and help
with college applications in the future. All extracurriculars can look GREAT on your high schoolrecord and college applications if you put in the effort.
11. Use a planner. It will save your life.
12. If youre taking financial literacy or drivers education at the school, DROP THE COURSE. You can
take the class for the same credit ONLINE, and finish it in 4 HOURS with a PERFECT grade.
13. For math problem help, use WolframAlpha.com. You can put entire equations in there and it will
solve them. If you purchase a cheap subscription, they will even show detailed steps.
14. Stay motivated, all day, every day.
And most importantly, HAVE FUN!
