Veterinary Community Marchers: Information for World Pride We are very excited about the first veterinary community march in World Pride! This is the first time it
has been held in the U.S. and is the longest route ever for NYC Pride/Heritage of Pride, at 2 miles! They
are expecting between 4‐5 million spectators. We are grateful for the tremendous support we have
received for this march. This event would not have been possible without our sponsors and industry
partners – please take a moment to see the full list of supporters on our website:
https://pridevmc.org/worldpride2019/
There is a lot of important information to share with you. Please read carefully, and do not skim. If you
have any questions, please contact us at: info@pridevmc.org
We will be providing additional updates as needed prior to the big day via email and Facebook!
Meeting for March Formation – Where you need to be and When! The Official March begins at 12:05pm on Sunday, June 30th. Please note that this is NOT our
group’s start time.
Each Marching Group has different times and Block locations to stage for March Formation
Our veterinary group will meet at 2:30pm on 29th Street between Madison Avenue and Park
Avenue. Enter 29th Street from Park Avenue. We are Section 5, Order No. 30. There will be
signage for each group and people from the Block and Section teams to help.
To gain access: it is recommended to come in from Park Avenue. Identify yourself as marching
with PrideVMC and they will let you in. See Formation Map attached.
Plan for possible traffic delays so you arrive by 2:30pm to check‐in. We are expecting over 400
marchers in our group! Research ahead for parking options if you are driving. Parking may be
challenging during the event. Nearby subway transit is available.
All Marchers MUST Check‐in! We will hand out your commemorative t‐shirts and a “swag bag”
once you arrive. T‐shirts and swag bags are based on availability. Due to overwhelming
response, we may not be able to provide your requested size. There will be portable restrooms
where you can change if you want to wear the commemorative t‐shirt.
Check‐in must be completed by 3:15pm so arrive early! Estimated time for our group to step
off and enter the March is 3:45‐4:30pm
If you want to arrive earlier and see the March, please see the Event Day Timeline attached.
There is a powerful Moment of Silence at 11:58am.
The March Details We will have PrideVMC Group Leaders wearing clearly marked t‐shirts. The Group Leaders will
be your go‐to people for the March and questions.
