Using Voice Thread for Language Learning

Voice Thread is a web based tool that allows users to view and respond to a text, picture or video. People can comment by texting, creating an audio file of their comments, and by drawing on the picture while talking to better illustrate their comments.

Here is an example of how this tool couldbe used to illustrate vocabulary in the context of a picture.

This example is of a 3rd graders who drew pictures and narrated

them. The classmates responded. Language learners of all ages could
