Epic Bible Study
We are a weekly Bible Study group led by Pastor Darren
that meets in B102 on Saturday mornings at 11:00. Our
focus is on better understanding the characters and
narratives within the Old Testament in order to better
understand the New Testament. We use Dr. Sandra
Richter’s “Epic of Eden” book and video series. There
are short daily lessons to do at home that will help to
facilitate class discussion and further understanding.
Each study is 12 weeks, and missed sessions can be
made up by watching the video series outside of class.

Men’s Breakfast
Men, start your day right! Meet with other brothers
for fellowship over a simple breakfast as we share
with each other our victories and concerns. We will
spend some time in prayer together offering to God
our praise and petitions before starting out day each
Thursday. We meet at Ikari Coffee House near Mac-
kay Hospital each Thursday ay 7am till around 8:30am.
Women’s Bible Study
The Women's Bible Study meets every Wednesday at
7pm in the Hsinchu Science Park. We will begin Jen Wil-
kins’ in-depth Bible Study on the book of James beginning
on Wednesday, September 5th.
Once a month, we have dinner together and we are now
looking for opportunities to serve together. Women of all
ages are welcome to attend.
Abundant Grace and Righteous Reign Romans 5:9-21
Introduction Defining Freedom Defining Liberty 1. Saving Love Provided (5:9-11) A. Why did Christ give His life for us? B. When did Christ die for us? C. How did Christ give His life for us? 2. Stages of Salvation A. Justification B. Sanctification C. Glorification 3. Legacy of Sin (5:12-14) A. The presence of sin—everywhere B. The Penalty of Sin—death (wages) C. Power of sin—”reigning” 4. Power of a Supernatural Life (5:15-21) A. The gift is not like the trespass B. What the gift has done—Released from blame and bondage C. Power of grace—Eternal Life
Questions for Understanding 1. Who is responsible for bringing sin into the world 2. What is the evidence that everyone has sinned? (5:12) 3. Was there sin before the Old Testament Law was given? 4. How is the Gift of God different than the result of the one man’s sin? 5. If we know sin is all around us by the presence of death, what then is the mark or sign of God’s grace in a Christian’s life (Romans 5:21)? List at least three changes you desire to take place in your life because of these verses: a.____________________________________________________________________ b.____________________________________________________________________ c. ____________________________________________________________________
