• The University Magnet Program offers an enriched, highly structured and rigorous education to prepare students for admission to colleges and universities.

Program Distinctions

Students must:› Acquire an Advanced Studies Diploma› Complete at least six honors and/or AP classes› Identify and work toward a major/career strand› Complete a science fair project each year› Participate in an internship program senior year› Complete 200 community service hours› Participate in at least two extra-curricular activities per

year› Complete and submit a yearly portfolio

www.yvckc.org) or www.yvc.org • Arm of National Center for Prevention of

Community Violence• Youth Volunteer Corps of Hampton Roads

beginning now – only chapter in Virginia • College mentors from CNU are in place.
