➢ Today, you will perform the first 3 steps of a 5-step investigation to introduce yourselves to design thinking.

➢ The Custom Backpack Design Challenge* is an investigation in which you must build a backpack that meets the specific needs of your user.

user, think about the specific needs that your user has.➢ Use your student handouts to complete steps 1 through 3 of the design

thinking process. Follow all instructions on the handout. ➢ Design your user’s backpack using only paper and colored writing utensils.➢ Be prepared to share in 15 minutes.
