Uniform 2019-20

Extreme hairstyles are not permitted. The school is the arbiter of what is

considered extreme. If in doubt please

contact the head of year.

Any make up worn by students should be modest and discreet.

Students wearing excessive make-up will be asked to remove it.

Visible tattoos are not acceptable.

Earrings – one small plain pair of studs, of a maximum diameter of 3mm, can be worn in the ear lobe.

No other piercings are allowed.

Students can wear a plain ring and wrist watch.

Jewellery worn for religious observance is permissible.

All jewellery will be removed for PE lessons to ensure students are safe.

Plain black or grey trousers Plain black or grey skirt (not

School skirts are to be black or grey – tight fitting designs are not allowed.

Skirts must not be rolled up at the waist and the length should be no shorter than just above the knee.

Trousers should be black or grey school trousers.

Chinos, lycra, cling style trousers or black skinny trousers are not allowed.

Sensible plain, all black leather shoes or ankle boots should be worn for school.

Logos, labels or sport branding are not permitted.

Longer boots, trainers, canvas, open toe, designer or high heels are not allowed for school.

Shoes with white/coloured soles or stripes are not allowed.

Outdoor coats/jackets can be worn in the corridors but must not be worn inside the school canteen or in the classroom.

No hats or hoods on inside the school buildings.

Sweatshirts or hooded tops of any description are not permitted to be worn on the school site, below or on top of blazers.

Baseball caps are not allowed.
