- So What is a Soliloquy? SoliloquyMonologue 0 From Latin words
Solus = alone and Loqui = to speak 0 is a speech that one gives TO
ONESELF 0 In a play the character thinks aloud so that the audience
better understand what is happening 0 From Greek words Mono =
single; Legein = to speak 0 speech given by a single person TO AN
AUDIENCE either within a play or sitting in the theater watching
the play.
