Emergency Shut Down Valve:The construction and accessories of Shutdown Valve (SDV) and Emergency Shutdown Valve (ESDV) are similar. Their name is distinguished only from their services. Shutdown Valve referred toactuated valvewhich is closed duringpartial or total process shutdownof system to which the valve protects. Emergency Shutdown Valve is actuated valve which is closed when triggered by signal from ESD level signal during emergency condition occurs. Emergency Shutdown Valves are commonly located in incoming line and outgoing line of the plant or platform.Actuated valve mainly consists of: Main Body Valve Actuator Limit Switches Solenoid Valve or other pilot valve Air Filter Regulator

Ultrasonic Flow meter : Anultrasonic flow meteris a type offlow meterthat measures the velocity of aliquidorgas(fluid) by using the principle ofultrasound. Using ultrasonictransducers, the flow meter can measure the average velocity along the path of an emitted beam of ultrasound, by averaging the difference in measured transit time between the pulses of ultrasound propagating into and against the direction of the flow. Ultrasonic flow meters are affected by the temperature, density and viscosity of the flowing medium. They are inexpensive to use and maintain because they do not usemoving parts, unlike mechanical flow meters.

Schematic views of a transit-time ultrasound perivascular ultrasonic volume flowsensor. Using wide beam illumination, two transducers pass ultrasonic signals back and forth, alternately intersecting the flowing liquid in upstream and downstream directions. The flowmeter derives an accurate measure of the "transit time" it takes for the wave of ultrasound to travel from one transducer to the other The difference between the upstream and downstream integrated transit times is a measure of volume flow rather than velocity.
