Optometry AustraliaOptometry Australia is a not-for-profit organisation comprising of six state bodies, a national organisation, and a national board, which acts as the organisation’s governing body.
Being a profession-centric membership body, Optometry Australia represents about 90 per cent of Australian optometrists where the goal of this invaluable association is to actively strengthen, protect and promote the profession of optometry and eye-health, on behalf of all optometrists.
Senior Graphic DesignerAs the sole in-house Graphic Designer based at the National office in Melbourne, key responsibilities included supporting the Marketing, Communications, Policy and Operations teams through the delivery of a range of concepts and creatives for both print and online purposes. This also entailed the development and design of the association’s brand book and style guide as part of the re-branding process.
Key achievements:
• Timely delivery of all concepts for major projects including the 2014 Annual Report, Brand book and Style Guide.
• Logo design and development of the brand identity for the association’s Eye on CPD programme.
• Development and design of the association’s online student portal - Student Hub - including all visual assets for each category page.
• Supported all state divisions by fulfilling a range of design requirements such as developing online, interactive PDF forms.
Design Experience Details
Key achievements (to-date):
• Delivered a variety of visual assets for the promotion of the Clinical and Experimental Optometry journal on the Wiley web site.
• Packaging design and delivery of final artwork for Optometry Australia’s customised Contact Lens bag.
• Provided concepts and final artwork for publication covers including Optometry Australia’s Pharma magazine and Clinical & Experimental Optometry journal.
• Developed the splash screen and various visual assets for the CXO iPad application.
• Ensured that the association’s online presence remained fresh and consistent - adhering to the current branding - through the delivery of online tile and banner designs for the web site.
• Designed and delivered finished artwork for a range of advertisements published in the Australian Optometry newspaper.

Coles Supermarkets (Corporate) As one of Australia’s leading food retailers, Coles Supermarkets operate with a focus to providing a sustainable future whilst supporting Aussie farmers, food producers and the local community. Made up of 4 levels, the Retail Leaders program is the pathway to leadership roles for all employees within the stores. This ensures Coles has the right people stepping into the roles of Department Managers, Store Managers and Regional Managers.
Senior Graphic / UX DesignerAssigned to the Human Resources Learning and Development team, this contract position entailed designing the layout and developing all graphical elements for levels 1 & 2 of the Retail Leaders program. Further to this role was the responsibility of developing concepts for packaging requirements in addition to the user-interface of the internal eLearning site.
Key responsibilities:
• Designed and prepared the layout for all Retail Leaders Learner Reference Guides and Activity Guides, which were seen through to finished art
• Developed concepts for packaging requirements such as manual holders, compendiums, branded bags etc and prepared finished artwork for all concepts
• Designed a broad range of illustrations and vectors
• Worked closely with Instructional Designers to ensure that the design of all manuals met the business requirements
• Developed concepts for the Retail Leaders eLearning site with a focus to enhance the accessibility, usability and end-user experience for employees undertaking training on the site

Blue Star IQ Blue Star IQ is a nationally-renowned design, print warehousing and distribution company comprised of a dedicated team of specialist Account Managers; Graphic, Web and Digital Media Designers, Warehousing staff and Inventory Management professionals. All of whom are committed to understanding and delivering to the needs of businesses specific to various industries in the market.
Senior Graphic DesignerAs a senior designer, this position required the commitment to working autonomously in a fast paced, high pressured environment, where a range of design concepts were developed and seen through to final art. Additionally, in support of the company’s strategy to move into the digital media space, a promotional video was designed, developed and project managed to ensure that the execution of this campaign was successful.
Key responsibilities:
• Developed design concepts for a broad variety of print materials such as Product Disclosure Statements, packaging requirements, posters, flyers and brochures
• Prepared finished artwork for production
• Designed and developed a range of promotional videos for web and mobile devices. This also entailed project managing each project from concept phase through to execution
• Liaised closely with Account Managers to ensure that specific client requirements and briefs were met
• Prioritised addressing any returned drafts to ensure changes to proofs were delivered within required time frames

DMC Group Aust. Based in Australia and China, this corporate design, production and licensing company provides nationally-renowned businesses with a package of services including print and web designs, online IT solutions, print management services, Signage and warehousing fulfilment services.
Creative Services ManagerThis maternity-leave contract entailed providing guidance and leadership to a team of graphic and web designers responsible for developing effective designs and delivering online IT solutions for a range of high-calibre clients.
Key responsibilities:
• Liaised closely with Account Managers and clients to discuss and interpret their specific requirements and business needs
• Developed a variety of product and print concepts, and delivered final artwork for production
• Liaised and provided final artwork including specifications to printers and production suppliers
• Project Managed all projects throughout the design process

Willach AustraliaWillach Australia is the Australian market leader in providing automation technologies such as robotic dispensers and storage solutions for pharmacy dispensary environments.
Graphic DesignerAs the sole in-house designer for Willach, a broad range of designs were developed in support of all marketing initiatives. This entailed managing all projects from initial brief to completion where concepts, layouts and finished artwork were produced for marketing collateral, print advertisements and promotions, web advertisements, sales presentations, trade exhibits and showroom displays. This also involved governing productive relationships with external print suppliers and PR agencies to ensure all publications were delivered within the required time frames.
Further to this role, support was provided to all interstate Sales Managers through the development and delivery of 2D technical floor plans and 3D design concepts. All plans were drafted with a sharp attention to detail to warrant the accuracy of Willach’s solutions to prospective customers.

Sentio Print and web freelance services.
Freelance DesignerUnder the registered trade name of SENTIO, freelance services specialising in print media and web design were provided to a diversity of clients. This entailed developing distinctive designs and artwork for logos and branding requirements, corporate identity requirements, print media including theatre collateral, CD artwork, packaging in addition to web designs.

ANZ Banking GroupANZ is the fourth major bank in Australia with a significant presence across Asia Pacific, Europe and America. ANZ provides a full range of financial products and services to more than 6 million retail, wealth, small business, corporate and institutional customers.
User Experience DesignerWorking closely with the Technical Design team, a range of promotional materials were developed to increase the awareness of Human Computer Interaction and User Experience across the Technology division of the bank.
This entailed delivering design concepts and artwork for a range of print publications and developing multimedia presentations, which were presented to all corporate personnel to promote ANZ’s intuitive desktop and mobile product range.
Achievements:
• In 2006 an ANZ Star Award was received for the branding of the ANZ Disability Network Group. This initiative entailed developing a logo and flyer, which were delivered in support of enhancing the awareness of staff with disabilities working across the banking group.
