Principal’s Report Week 6 Term 4 Well we are well and truly into the back end of the term now, with just over 4 weeks to go!
Library Stocktake Thank you to all students (and parents and carers) who have been searching madly for library books under beds, in
bookcases and in school bags to return them for the stocktake. Thank you to Mrs Waldon, Mrs Woods and their
band of helpers who have been working through this event.
Year 2 Intensive Swimming Despite the interruption to the Intensive Swimming Program, I know the students have been working hard to
improve their swimming skills over the past two weeks. Congratulations to all our swimmers, teachers and helpers
for your hard work.
Kmart Wishing Tree Opening I thought my heart would burst with pride when I saw the ES1 and S1 students singing their hearts out at the
opening of the Kmart Wishing Tree last week. These children worked their way through EIGHT songs at the event, all
with actions that accompanied the songs.
These children were absolutely amazing and I know I was not the only person who felt that way! There were many
proud parents, carers, friends and grandparents who all had the same smile on their faces as I did. Well done to Mrs
Holland and the junior choir.
Orienteering Stage 2 have been learning all about Orienteering over the past week, and the courses have proven to be extremely
popular. Well done to everyone for your enthusiasm and sense of fun. Thank you to Mrs Bunny for her organisation
of our Orienteering Trainers.

K-Mart Wishing Tree Launch Last Thursday, November 14th the Tomaree Public School Junior Choir had the privilege of singing at the launch of
the K-Mart Wishing Tree Christmas Appeal.
This appeal runs in conjunction with the Salvation Army. Wrapped presents are donated by shoppers and placed
under the tree. These gifts are collected and given out to families in need at Christmas time. It is a wonderful local
initiative and it was an honour for the children to be part of that special launch.
The choir performed a variety of eight Christmas songs, some traditional favourites and others that were just great
fun. Lots of parents were able to come and watch the choir perform in front of the windows of Kmart.
I was immensely proud of all 50 children who not only sang beautifully, but were always respectful and well behaved.
They represented our school magnificently.
A big thank you to the management at Kmart for inviting us, to all the families who came to watch and support
the choir that day.
Sue Holland
***Please remember when ordering through Flexischools, it is essential to complete your order and not
just add it to your cart. Without completing your order, the order is not placed with the canteen!**
