• I started thinking of physical things that kill people for this.

• My concept has been developing a lot faster for me then when I started• I took from personal influence of my grandfather and his parents dying of smoking addiction/vice.• So for the beginning, I started with an Idea of using old imagery of smoking ads• This kept leading me to expected area’s and a place in which I got stuck in thinking of campaigns of smoking kills and so forth.• I was thinking to literally and not about anything universal.

• Moving forward, I wanted to think of things that relate to the idea of beginning and ending.• Cigarettes came to play as a symbol for beginning as a untouched life and as it is burnt away it leads to its death.• relating to a persons lifespan.• I’m working on building more of an idea for moodboard.• But so far I’ve been working with more of material and visualizing concept with this.

• I landed at using the cigarettes as material and focusing on the material to become universal.• Ashes being the main focus of concept and the universal understanding of ash.• Ash can be related to religion, cremation of the body, etc.

• So I’m exploring more ideas of how to portrait this through the materials.• Need to redo ash and maybe work with it as being the typographic element.

• More exploration, and adding type to the composition.• as well as adding the cigarettes in and looking at different ways they could be integrated.

• Some More exploration, and adding the cigarettes in different ways.

• Last exploration for building assets for the idea of cigarettes relating to lifespan of a person.

• So from the experimenting I derailed my concept a little bit and saw that I was leaving fingerprints while messing with the tobacco and ash.• I started to build a different concept within this.

• So for this I was thinking of peoples life making a mark on others and it fading to being nothing, just as your body becomes nothing once dead and decomposed.• Kind of depressing, I know. • But just a different Idea, maybe something further to explore?•
