III. Emerging TC204 standardization area
Cooperative Systems by WG18
• Mirror Group for CEN TC278 WG16 (formed in March 2009)– To work collaboratively under the Vienna Agreement
• Terms of Reference - Co-operative systems architecture with roles and responsibilities including the management level to assure interoperability; - Co-operative applications and functional requirements for communications /profiles; - Facilities (OSI layer 5 to 7)
. Data exchange protocols (applications), . Information flow (data flow between stations and data flow inside one
station), functional description; - Security of Co-operative Systems; - Test specification and conformity tests
• Cross-cutting issues are being discussed
IV. Recommendations for IIEG Discussion
It is recommended that:
• APEC Members be encouraged to more actively participate in ISO TC204 and related standardization activities
• APEC TPT Members strengthen the collaborative works with ISO/TC204 and identify future work items:– APEC TPT Members share information and experiences on
ubiquity and nomadic device oriented technologies for transportation sector
– APEC TPT Members identify priority areas to cooperate to enhance regional harmonization• Future Joint Workshop• e.g: Public Transit, Electronic Payment, Emergency
Management
