OUR FAMILY EVENTS & ANNOUNCEMENTS

EVERYONE

advent memorial serviceThis service replaces our usual Vespers service in the Chapel on Wednesday, December 9, 5:30–6:30 pm, and offers an opportunity for those grieving the loss of loved ones to remember them while worshipping through prayer, song, and the reading of God’s Word. We welcome you to come between 5:00 and 5:30 pm to receive a card to print the name of your loved one on it to bring forward during the service and light a candle in his or her memory. Contact virginia.vandermeer@pcpc.org or 214-224-2638.

childcare positions availableWe have paid childcare positions and supervisory roles available for Tuesday and Thursday mornings, evening and weekend special events. For more information, contact gale.emerson@pcpc.org or 214-224-2566.

wintergrace2016 Watch for news about our WinterGrace2016 series coming to PCPC Sunday-Tuesday, January 24-26. Mark Davis, Paul Goebel, and Chad Scruggs will lead us Sunday morning and evening, Monday and Tuesday evenings, on the topic of VOWS: When God says, “I do.” God vows to us and we to Him and each other in the church and in our families. These vows shape our worship, our community, and our mission to extend His Kingdom. Hold the dates for a time of renewal together. Contact frances.cope@pcpc.org or 214-224-2633.

WORSHIP AND THE ARTS

emmanuel: christmas concertJoin us for our traditional candlelight concert featuring carols and seasonal favorites Sunday, December 13, 4:30 and 7:30 pm, presented by the children’s, youth, and adult choirs with symphony orchestra—reminding us that Emmanuel, “God with us,” came to pierce the darkness with His light of joy, and salvation.

A free ticket is required, and the concerts are open to the public. Tickets are available online at pcpc.org. If you have questions regarding tickets, please call our ticket line, 214-224-2635. Contact frances.cope@pcpc.org or 214-224-2633.

service of friendship volunteersWe need volunteers to tear off the top page of the Service of Friendship pads on Sundays or Mondays. If you can do one week of the month or more, contact amy.tassos@pcpc.org or 214-224-2740.

“Nails, spear shall pierce Him through,The cross be borne for me, for you.

Hail, hail the Word made flesh,The Babe, the Son of Mary.”

—William Chatterton Dix

end-of-year givingAs you plan for year-end giving, contributions can be made in several ways. In addition to our normal offerings during worship, you can also give online. To make a donation using either a credit card or an electronic funds transfer from your bank account, go to pcpc.org and click on Give at the top of the screen.

Gifts of stock provide another way to be generous. Donating appreciated stock has potential tax benefits. Contact jean.hagin@pcpc.org at 214-224-2504, by Thursday, December 31, for instructions.

However you choose to give, the deadline for gifts to be receipted for 2015 in order to comply with IRS regulations is Thursday, December 31. Any gifts received at the church or postmarked later than December 31 will be receipted for 2016. Please note that the IRS requires individuals to have a giving statement on the letterhead of the charitable organization prior to filing a tax return.

With church offices closed for the holidays, it is best to mail your contribution checks to PCPC, Attn: Jean Hagin, 4124 Oak Lawn Ave, Dallas, TX 75219, postmarked by Thursday, December 31, rather than hand delivering them.

Thank you for your generosity in supporting all that God is doing in and through the life of our PCPC body.
