A long time ago, in the country of Italy , there was a city called
Verona. Two big families were always fighting.
A handsome boy named Romeo lived in the Montague family.
A pretty girl named Juliet lived in the Capulet family.
Juliet's parents had a costume party and Romeo went.
Romeo and Juliet danced and talked.
They liked each other and later they kissed.
After the party Romeo waited outside of Juliet's window.
Juliet saw Romeo.
They both said they loved each other.
Romeo talked to his friend the priest named Friar Lawrence.
The priest said that he would help Romeo and Juliet be together.
Romeo and Juliet got married but they kept it a secret.
They knew that their families would be mad.
Juliet's parents wanted her to marry a different man named Sir Paris.
Later, Romeo gets in a fight with Juliet's cousin named
Tybalt.
Romeo does not want to fight so Tybalt
fights with Romeo's friend Mercutio.
Mercutio dies.
Then Romeo kills Tybalt.
The Prince says Romeo has to leave the city of Verona.
Romeo and Juliet are very sad.
They make a plan to runaway and be together.
Juliet takes a drug that makes her very sick.
Juliet's family thinks she is dead so they put
her in the funeral room.
Juliet was not dead.
Romeo was supposed to meet her at the funeral room and she
would wake up so they could runaway together.
But Romeo thinks that Juliet is dead.
Romeo is so upset that he wants to die too.
Romeo buys some poison.
He drinks the poison and dies fast.
Juliet wakes up and she sees Romeo is dead (for real).
Juliet is very sad and upset.
Juliet kills herself with Romeo's knife and she dies too.
So Romeo and Juliet both die.
It is very sad for both the Capulet and Montague families.
They decide to learn how to get along so
that no one else has to die.
