What is ASDA? The American Student Dental

Association is a national student-run organization that protects and advances the rights, interests, and welfare of students pursuing a career in dentistry. It introduces students to lifelong participation in organized dentistry and provides services, information, education, representation and advocacy.

Membership

Strong membership is essential to ASDA’s success– Largest national organization solely

dedicated to dental student concerns– 86% membership amongst dental

students (17,000 total members including predentals, associates and international students)

Who are ASDA’s Members?

Predoctoral Members: Dental Students! – 86% of all dental students in the U.S.

are members of ASDA. – ASDA has a chapter at each of the 57

U.S. dental schools.– $72/year

Who are ASDA’s Members?

Associate Members: – Available to any individual with an

interest in supporting dentistry and ASDA.

– Includes former ASDA leaders and members, dental practitioners, faculty, and academic advisors.

– $55/year

Who are ASDA’s Members?

International and International Student Members: – International: any person interested in

dentistry who resides outside of the U.S. $80/yr

– International student: enrolled in dental school outside of the U.S. $85/yr

– Many international members are foreign-trained dentists who are planning to move to the U.S.
