Three Bodies

•  Course Body – Flesh, Organs, Bone, Blood,

and Neurotransmitters

•  Subtle Body – Channels, Complexes, Winds,

and Drops

•  Extremely Subtle Body – Indestructible

drop/clear light of bliss

Features of the Subtle Body

•  72,000 subtle channels or pathways (nadis)

•  7 complexes or hubs (chakras)

•  5 types of winds (vayu) upon which consciousness is

carried like horse and rider

•  2 types of drops (bindu) - male and female - of

energetic bliss.

Three Main Channels

Right Channel

•  Pingala Nadi

•  Red, Solar, Extroverted, Active, Masculine, Warming

•  Inhailing through the right nostril activates the left brain

associated with analysis, logic, language, details, focal

attention, and sympathetic activation - fight or flight.

•  Exhaling out of the left nostril expels fear-based clinging/

attachment

Left Channel•  Ida Nadi

•  White, Lunar, Introverted, Passive, Feminine, Cooling.

•  Inhaling through left nostril activates right brain associated

with emotions, symbols, memory, dreams, course body,

intuition, scanning awareness and primitive vegus nerve -

freeze responses.

•  Exhaling through right nostril expels defensive hostility/

aversion.

Central Channel

•  Shushumna Nadi

•  Blue

•  After alternating, inhaling through both nostrils balances

and activates both brain hemispheres and is associated with

connection, communication, contentment, relaxed arousal

and smart vagal tone.

•  Exhaling through both nostrils expels misperception/

delusion of separateness.

Crown Complex

•  Rainbow color petals

•  Red inner triangle

•  32 branches facing downwards towards throat

•  Seed syllable: reversed white Ham

Throat Complex

•  Red petals

•  White inner circle

•  16 branches facing upwards towards crown

•  Seed syllable: red Om

Heart Complex

•  White petals

•  White inner circle

•  8 branches facing downwards to navel

•  Seed syllable: reversed blue Hum

Navel Complex

•  Red

•  Red petals

•  Red triangle

•  64 branches facing upwards towards heart

•  Seed syllable: red Ah
