The Silver Fund

The Silver Fund is the largest dealer worldwide in estate Georg Jensen silver. In addition to our comprehensive collection of Georg Jensen holloware, our inventory includes exceptional 20th century silver designed by Jean Puiforicat, William Spratling, Antonio Pineda and many other great 20th century designers.

Since 1996 we have sold more than $40 million worth of Georg Jensen silver to private clients around the world. We have helped build multiple large collections including the Rowler collection, the largest single collection ever to be sold at auction where it fetched $9.8 million in one session.

The Silver Fund has helped put together outstanding exhibitions, including "Georg Jensen Jewelry" at the Bard Graduate Center in New York City. The exhibition was the largest Georg Jensen jewelry retrospective ever presented. The Silver Fund collaborated with Susan Weber Soros, the founder and director of the center, at every stage of the exhibition. We also collaborated on the Georg Jensen exhibit at the Philadelphia Museum of Art in 2007.

We authored the definitive book on Georg Jensen Holloware, The Silver Fund Collection. The book was the culmination of five years of research, writing and collaboration.

We exhibit at exclusive art and antique fairs in the US including New York, Los Angeles, Palm Beach, Dallas, Chicago and San Francisco. We have exhibited at many major international events including the prestigious Grosvenor House Art & Antiques Fair in London as well as fairs in Germany, Switzerland, France and Italy.

The Silver Fund has been written about extensively including articles in The New York Times, Forbes, Financial Times and Robb Report.

1. Extraordinarily Rare Covered Tureen. Designed and hand made by Christian Fjerdingstad for Maison Christofle. This piece illustrates the way in which Fjerdingstad managed to combine geometric French ornament with a hammered surface and the simple round forms which are so characteristic of Danish silver. Henry Van de Velde, who met Fjerdingstad in the Netherlands in 1921, regarded him as one of the best silversmiths of his day. The directors of Christofle and countless art critics also shared that opinion. Fjerdingstad had a command of all aspects of silversmithing and sometimes executed his own designs. He was a highly valued designer at Maison Christofle. An example of this particular piece in the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris. Circa 1930's. 6" diameter, 6" tall.2.
