great

Friends and family of

the Eastview Rotary

Club gathered on

Friday evening for our

annual Christmas

celebration. The Club

Services Committee

organized the evening.

Thank you to Pat Dell,

John Van Koll and

President Greg for a

wonderful time. It was

a great evening of fun

and fellowship. Pat

Dell was M. C. for the evening and began by inviting PDG Peter Peters

to say grace. The Delta did it again! The turkey dinner with all the

trimmings was delicious with the highlight being the sticky pudding. Of course there were hot dogs and

French fries for the children which are always a favorite. Following the meal, M.C. Pat invited Amy

Collado, from the Rotary Club of Regina Oskaya to come forward and lead the sing song. Amy accompanied

on the guitar and soon had the children and adults singing and clapping. There were a number of holiday

favorites that many of us sang as children. Then, through the doors came Santa who was warmly welcomed

by all of the children. It was a special treat to have Honorary member, Richard Downing and wife, Jean,

with us watching the proceedings.

Light a candle for peace

Light a candle for love

Light a candle that shines

All away around the world

Light a candle for me

Light a candle for you

That our wish for world peace

Will one day come true. (Unknown)
