Disaster strikes Columbia!

A tile on the surface of the ship, damaged on liftoff, causes Columbia to explode when it re-enters the

Earths atmosphere.

A second explosion destroys the tail section of the shuttle.

This final explosion ends the lives of all astronauts aboard the shuttle Columbia.

Debris from Columbia falls from the sky like a meteor shower.

Pieces of Columbia are found in several southern states,

including Texas.
