We welcome all the young children who will participate in our exciting Vacation Bible School which has several times been voted as the best in Frisco! This year the theme is: Maker Fun Factory. Jesus had a special love for children and considered them as the most important in his Kingdom; we do, too. “Let the little children come to me.” At the end of March, at all our Masses, we explained that in order to meet our budget for the fiscal year (July 1, 2016 to June 30, 2017) we were asking you to increase your weekly donations by $5.00. We thank those who were able to do that. As we prepare the budget for the new fiscal year, we think that we need to maintain that $5.00 increase for the future. “Gimme 5” will help us meet our new goals so that we can serve you better with improvements to our staff and to our facilities. In November 2015 at St. Francis, we launched our participation in the Diocesan Capital Campaign called “Our Faith…Our Future” as our diocese sought to raise $125 million in honor of our 125 years as a diocese. Our goal was $2 million; the diocese allows each parish to receive a refund of 30% of the monies collected up to $2 million. But you pledged $3.9 million, and that was incredible! Once the diocese receives more than $2 million, we get a refund of 70% of what is collected. So far you have donated $1,450,756 and so we have been refunded $435,227, and we have applied that money to the reduction of our $6 million loan. So, please keep sending your donations to the Campaign so that we can reach the 70% refund and really reduce our loan.

Damos la bienvenida a todos los niños pequeños que participarán en nuestra emocionante Campamento Bíblico de Verano en inglés, el cual, varias veces ha sido votado como ¡el mejor en Frisco! Este año el tema es: Maker Fun Factory (El fabricante de la fábrica de la diversión). Jesús tenía un amor especial por los niños y los consideraba como los más importantes en su Reino; nosotros también los consideramos los más importantes. "Que los niños vengan a mí." A finales de marzo, en todas nuestras Misas, les explicamos que para poder cubrir nuestro presupuesto para el año fiscal (1 de julio de 2016 al 30 de junio de 2017) necesitábamos que cada uno aumentara $5.00 dólares a sus donaciones semanales. Les damos las gracias a todos los que pudieron hacerlo. Durante la preparación del presupuesto para el nuevo año fiscal, pensamos que debemos mantener ese aumento de $5.00 para el futuro. "Dame 5" nos ayudará a cumplir con nuestras nuevas metas para que podamos servirle mejor con mejoras a nuestro personal y a nuestras instalaciones. En noviembre de 2015, en San Francisco, lanzamos nuestra participación en la Campaña del Capital Diocesano llamada "Nuestra Fe... Nuestra meta era de $2 millones de dólares; la Diócesis permitió a cada Parroquia recibir un reembolso del 30% de los fondos recaudados de los primeros $2 millones. El 8 de julio el Padre Larry estará guiando el último tour en español de

nuestra Iglesia y Capilla a las 6:30 pm en la Iglesia.

No pierdas la oportunidad de saber qué Santos aparecen en los vitrales y por

qué, porqué el baptisterio fue colocado allí en el centro y porqué no tenemos

pequeñas fuentes de agua bendita en cada puerta lateral, también el porqué

llamamos a la Capilla “Santa Clara” y el significado de cada vitral de la

Capilla.

El tour durará aproximadamente una hora.

Rito de Iniciación Cristiana para Adulto (RICA)

Se les invita a las personas adultas que desean recibir los sacramentos de la Iniciación

Cristiana: Bautizo, Confirmación y Primera Comunión a inscribirse a las sesiones de

RICA. El nuevo ciclo iniciará el día martes 1 de agosto a las 6:45 pm en el Gran Salón

Lado "C". Es también una oportunidad para explorar y aprender más sobre la fe

católica.

Es un ministerio de ayuda para aquellas personas que están dispuestas a parar sus adicciones al alcohol y a las

drogas pero sobre todo a recuperar una vida sana y feliz ofreciéndote un espacio fraterno serio y confidencial con

apoyo para llegar a la recuperación, y la sanación para la persona adicta y sus familias o amigos que lo necesiten.

Faith Formation General registration opens - June 26 at 9:00 am. General registration is open to parishioners who did not meet the active steward criteria or for new parishioners who recently transferred in. For more information about registration please visit www.stfoafrisco.org

The Faith Formation Programs rely solely on volunteers to serve and teach the faith. We are still in need of a large number of volunteers. The New Day Journal First Meeting Tuesday June 27th at 7:00 am

Our Lord assured us that those who mourn are blessed, and that they shall be comforted. The New Day Journal – A journey from grief to healing, offers the bereaved an opportunity to come together to Share in God’s love.

With the support of the faith community, we can give voice to our unique journeys of grief and find healing and spiritual growth. The New Day Journal sessions help us to explore mourning through prayer, reflection, scripture and faith sharing.

The group will meet for six sessions on Tuesday evenings. Any parishioner who is mourning the loss of a loved one is encouraged to attend and are invited to bring a guest if they wish. Forgiving the Unforgiving: Learning to Forgive as Jesus DoesJune 22nd at 7:00 pm, Great Hall Center Section

Jesus said to love your enemies, for even sinners love those who love them. The grace we have received as God’s children calls us to more. What about forgiveness? Do we forgive only our friends? Those who also forgive us? Or must we forgive even the unforgiving and the seemingly unforgiveable? Must our forgiveness be earned? How does Jesus forgive and how does he call us to forgive? Forgiveness has soul healing power. Not only for the one who is forgiven, but for the one who forgives as well. The heart of the Gospel is that God has forgiven us in Jesus Christ. To live the Gospel means to live in forgiveness. In this talk, we will reflect upon the great importance of forgiveness, how to become better “forgivers,” and how forgiving helps us grow in grace.
