As the Hispanic elderly population continues to grow, mortality, morbidity, and access to healthcare are all important factors that will influence their well-being in their later years of life in the U.S. This paper gives a review of some of the prevalent causes death, illnesses, disparities in comparison to other racial/ethnic groups, and barriers to healthcare access for the Hispanic elderly.
