The Value of We –

We are Family

Do not rebuke an older man harshly, but exhort him as if he

were your father. Treat younger men as brothers, older women as mothers, and younger women as

sisters, with absolute purity. I Timothy 5:1-16

When Helping Hurts -

When we do for others what they can do for themselves.

Give proper recognition to those widows who are really in need.

Vs 3

When we assume a role that is not our to fulfill and leave no room or

responsibility for those who need to serve.

When we give a hand out instead of a hand up.

But if a widow has children or grandchildren, these should learn first of all to put their religion into practice by caring for their own

family… vs 4
