Your Strategic Social Presence!

LinkedIn Tips
Put yourself in the shoes of the alumni/friend/prospect who is receiving your call. After the call they are going to go on Google or LinkedIn to see who you are! Knowing this….what do you want them to see?
• Your background information• Volunteer experience and causes• Projects—what have your worked on lately• Skills• Education
Groups are great, but don’t go crazy with recommendations. You never know how people are connected. What if you write a recommendation for someone on LinkedIn and the person you’re trying to cultivate had a terrible interaction with that individual!!
Personally—I think less is more when it comes to social media. You should be in control of your own narrative. Once you post something in a social media channel it is out of your control – FOREVER!
