THE DISCIPLES OF JESUS: THINKING LIKE HE THINKS

All of us have been conditioned by the

thinking of this world.

Because of this we have in our minds thinking that is

not in agreement with Jesus.

Negative thoughts

idle thoughts

immoral thoughts

Doubtful thoughts

Unhealthy thoughts

fearful thoughts

thoughts of unworthiness

This brings spiritual defeat.

thoughts become words.

words become actions.

actions become habits.

habits become character.

character becomes destiny!

“As a person thinks in his heart, so he is.”

Proverbs 20:3

Thought audit

More worried or peaceful thoughts?

More negative or positive thoughts?

More worldly or eternal thoughts? Jesus.

Romans 12: 2 “Do not conform yourselves to the standards of this world, but

let God transform you inwardly

by a complete change of your mind. Then you will be able to know the will of God - what is good and is pleasing to him

and is perfect.”

Ephesians 4:23-24 “Instead, renew the thinking

in your mind by the Spirit and clothe yourself with the

new person created

according to God's image in justice and true holiness.”

1. Capture destructive thoughts

“We take every thought captive so that it is obedient

to Christ.” 2 Cor. 10:5

Some of you are one thought away from

changing your whole life!

2. Focus on the Good things of God.

Philippians 4:8 “Finally, brothers and sisters,

whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right,

whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is

admirable--if anything is excellent or praiseworthy--think about such things.”

1. Through Prayer

In our prayers think about God.

In our prayers think about who we are in Christ.

We are the children of God.

We have a new inheritance from Him.

We are spiritually gifted, which makes us partners

with Jesus.

We have angels appointed to help us.

We are the temple of the Holy Spirit.

2. Correct our thinking through Bible study

3. Through Looking for God working around you.

Less of me and more of Him

It is better to give than receive

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power, love and

a sound mind.
