The BRFDMA is an organization of Henderson County and surrounding counties that sell fresh apples to the public at farm stands and roadside markets
The association was formed in 1985 in cooperation with the NC Agricultural Extension Service
Our mission is to promote NC apples while educating growers and the public about the apple industry
Each year we promote NC Apples, Apple Orchards, Direct Farm Markets/Roadside Stands, and Agritourism› This includes orchard and farm tours, barnyard
animal tours, and K-12 educational tours in Henderson County
In 2016, there were 25 fantastic Farm Markets to visit
Members benefit from promotions and advertising in several publications and venues throughout the South East
