The Club runs the Annual Gem & Mineral Show located at the Paris Fair Grounds, the first weekend of April (unless it is Easter weekend, then the following weekend).
TThe show draws vendors from all over Canada and the United States bringing many wonderful stones, fossils, gems, jewelery and more.
We have had wonderful turn out over the last few years.
Annual Gem and Mineral ShowVarious field trips are organized
throughout the year in conjunction with the Central Canadian Federation of Mineralogical Societies (CCFMS) clubs.
SSome trips can include fossil collecting at Canada’s famous Devonian sites at Arkona, beach glass on Lake Ontario, local quarry for minerals, trip to the ROM or even a club trip to Herkimer diamonds in New York State.
EExperienced members are quick to help new members learn what to look for and how to collect specimens.
