The Blue-Haired, Green-Eyed, Tiny, Freckled, All-Around,

Weirdo

Melody was sad. She was so different!

EVERYONE had blonde hair or brown hair or red hair or black hair…

NOT Melody!

EVERYONE had blue eyes or brown eyes or hazel eyes…

NOT Melody, She was just a blue-haired, green-eyed, tiny, freckled, all-around- weirdo!

In her class, she was the ONLY weirdo!

Even her best friends were normal!

Melody always felt so left out, especially at school.

Her family and friends were always saying she wasn’t weird, she was special!

You are special, not weird!

You are special, not weird! You are not weird, you

are SPECIAL!

EXACTLY!!

You are my special little girl!

One day her mom was saying just how special she was…

You are my special little girl!

“I’d rather be normal!” Melody shouted, and began to cry.

I’d rather be normal!

That night, Melody saw a shooting star out of her bedroom window!

“I WISH I WAS NORMAL!” Melodyshouted out her window, then she climbed into bed, and cried herself to

sleep.

That morning, Melody looked in the mirror…

Melody threw her mirror on the floor… CRASH! “I can’t believe it, I’m still just a blue-haired, green-eyed,

tiny, freckled, all-around, weirdo!” She cried.

Her mom said it was time for school and so she left, crying inside.

When she got inside her classroom she gasped…

EVERYONE was a blue-haired, green-eyed, tiny, freckled, weirdo! Melody’s wish had come true, she

was finally just like everyone else!

“Thank you shooting star!” She squealed.

Thank you star!!

But suddenly Melody got very confused… who was who?

Finally she found her friends… “There you are! I couldn’t find you! Look I’m normal now, isn’t that

great?” Melody exclaimed.

“You are TOO NORMAL to be our friend! Being THAT normal is boring!” They said angrily.

You are TOO normal! We don’t want to be your friend

Melody walked away sadly, “I’m not special anymore… I’m just…normal.” She said, and tears filled her eyes.

MELODY WAS SUDDENLY VERY

DIZZY

Then, Melody fainted right there in the classroom!

Melody was immediately taken to the school nurse!

When Melody finally woke up, the nurse said just to go home and get some rest, so she went home and ran

straight up to her room.

Melody cried and cried cried and cried cried and cried cried and cried cried and cried cried and cried cried and

cried cried and cried cried and cried cried and cried cried and cried cried and cried cried and cried cried and

cried

“What have I done? I’ll never be special again, and I’ll never know who’s who, and I’ll never have friends

again!” She cried

“This wasn’t the best day ever, this was the w-worst day ever!” She cried.

Melody just wished she could take back her wish. She realized that it was really awesome to be different. Of

course now, she was just normal!

Suddenly another shooting star zoomed through the sky, it was a miracle!

“I wish everything was back to how it was before I made that wish!” She whispered. Then she crawled into

bed and fell asleep, hoping. The shooting star would make her wish come true.

The next day she woke up, already afraid that her wish didn’t come true. But she went to school anyways.

“YES!” Melody screamed. Everyone was back to normal!

Melody looked around smiling, and then she realized everyone was special (or weird) in their own way!

Audrey had a broken leg, Sarah had a big nose, Jessie had small eyes, Naomi was really tall, and so on.

Everyone was is special, and Melody is EXTRA special. That afternoon Melody was eating her after-school

snack.

Melodywas SO happy. She was a blue-haired, green-eyed, tiny, freckled, special girl!

You are SO special!

I know… and I love it!!

The end!
