procurement strengths; DP World will deploy further yard cranes /

equipments as our customers demand it.

Key Points...

1.Batangas Port has been happening since 2012...commercial efforts have been paying off;

2. The cargoes gravitating towards Batangas are those that are meant to be for Batangas (CALABARZON locators); thus, increase in volume is natural rather than temporary / artificial;

3. The port has efficiently/ respectably handled the volumes that have come in;

4. Infrastructure is in place ; concern on truck availability is gradually being addressed; CTAP members willing to provide truck routes to Batangas; there is a newly established off-dock CY (South Port Container Yard) located 3 km from the port of Batangas (ideal for Carriers calling Batangas as empty depot];

5. all SGL importers shall be allowed to lodge SGL import entry declarations (SAD) in the BOC E2M System, using the 4ES-4 declaration code at all international ports,including but not limited to the Port of Batangas, the Ninoy Aquino lnternational etc...
