For the past several years Cloud 9 Ranch has offered a
chance for you to experience an overnight trail ride. This
invites the hearty adventurer to experience the Ozark
Mountains from the back of a horse. Overnight package
includes a 4-5 hour trail ride which departs on Saturday,
September 24th, a Cowboy cookout on Saturday evening,
overnight campout at the Ranch stables, Cowboy breakfast on
the morning of Sunday September 25th, followed by 4 hour
trail ride on Sunday morning. You will be guided by truly
experienced cowboys and range cooks.
The adventure begins at 11:30am at the C9R stables.
Cowboys and Cowgirls will be introduced to their faithful mount
and the ride will begin through some of the most spectacular
parts of the Ozarks. At around 5pm the group will return to the
Ranch Stables where you will be able to pitch your tent. All
weather tents will make your stay enjoyable no matter what
Mother Nature decides to bring. The range cooks will prepare
a Cowboy Cookout for the trail ride participants. The evening
will include campfire stories, and perhaps a cowboy song or
two. You are welcome to bring your singing voice and a guitar
if you like.
On Sunday morning you will start your day off with coffee (of
course) and a Cowboy Breakfast that is to die for. After that it
is back into the saddle for another four hour morning ride.
This could be the best experience of your life…..and certainly
one you will never forget!

Hidden Treasure Stashed at C9R Did you ever play hide and seek or
participate in a scavenger hunt? If you
enjoyed either of these activities you should
try GeoStashing!
All you have to have is a GPS that will let you
input coordinates and you can play. Imagine
the fun of riding the trails of Cloud 9 Ranch
while looking for hidden treasures. Well
maybe not actual treasures but they are
hidden. Please
visit www.kroutonline.com and check out the
links. Check out the link to the coordinates
and click on a camera icon to see pictures
from cameras left in GeoStashs. There have
been many new pictures posted since June.
If you find a GeoStash please sign the log
book so we will know you have visited. If you
see a “Treasure” in the GeoStash that you
are welcome to take it. All we ask is you
leave something in its place so the next
person has something to find. Most of the
GeoStashs don’t have cameras in them right
now. If you enjoy looking at the pictures feel
free to put a disposable camera in a
GeoStash. When it is full someone will get it
developed and post the pictures for everyone
to see.
Don’t miss out on the fun, dust off that GPS
and find some GeoStashs!

Back in the Day Photo Contest
A recent discovery was made while cleaning out
one of the storage facilities on Cloud 9 Ranch.
What was the discovery? A piece of Cloud 9
History! A brochure of Cloud 9 Ranch from the
early days that reflects the simple pleasures of
Cloud 9 Ranch. The title of the brochure is
“How to become a Camper and Love Every
Minute of it!” A date was not printed in the
brochure however, the signs of the times are
present. Under the listing “What‟s Around Us”,
Dog Patch USA is listed as a popular tourist
attraction. Well, Dog Patch USA closed 18 years
ago. Which would make the discovery at least
that many years old. If you would like to see the
old brochure, you may do so on line. The old
brochure is posted on Cloud Nine
RanchOutfitters on Facebook. Take a few
minutes to discover for yourself some of Cloud
9 Ranch‟s history.
Now you may be asking yourself “What does
this information have to do with a photo
contest?” Well the old brochure was inspiring
enough to want to learn more about Ranch
history. If you have old photos from Cloud 9
Ranch please submit them to “Cloud 9 Ranch
Photo Contest”.
As the 40 year anniversary approaches, these old
photos are a great way to remember and restore
the nostalgia of Cloud 9.
There is not a better way to bring a bright future
to the Ranch than by restoring the positive
moments of the past.
Submit Your Old Ranch Photos To:
Cloud 9 Ranch * Outfitters
PO Box 50
Caulfield, MO 65626
Please include your name and a
description of the photo.
The Photos will be posted on the
Ranch Facebook page.
If you would like your photo
returned to you, please include a
self address stamped envelope.
There will be a pair of Jim Stafford
tickets given away to the over all
best photo.
