Where I will choose to live

I will choose to live in the middle colonies because unlike the New England colonies and the Southern colonies the land did carry dieses and cold winters.

The Regions that were included

were New York, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.

Why each colony was founded

• Trade and profits

• Religion for Catholics and Quakers

Geography

The geography of the land has fertile soil, different from the New England colonies which contained rocky soil.

Climate

The weather is hot in the summers and cold in the winter because it is between the two colonies, so the weather is between temperatures.

Religion

There was more religion in the Middle Colonies than in the New England colonies. No single church was dominated.

Education

The schools were largely religious and were only taught one religion because most of the schools were private.

The girls were not allowed to attend unless they were Quakers!!!!!!

Fun and Entertainment

The games that the children played were tag, marbles, hop scotch, and hide and seek. They did not have any toys!

Food

In the Middle colonies the people would eat pea soup, boiled potatoes, Johnny cakes,

mush, and slapjacks for entrees. They would eat apple pie, apple dumplings, and rock candy for desserts.
