italics like “except” or “most likely” or in CAPS (like “BEST” or “NOT”).

HIGHLIGHT, UNDERLINE, or CIRCLEthe details (words and phrases) in thequestions! This helps you focus onexactly what the question is asking.

Find that file in your brain that knows the answer by saying:“Hey, Brain! Whatdo you know about this?”

Predict what the answer isBEFORE you read thechoices!

By reading the answers,you are making more connections!

You get a lot more information about thequestion you are about to read or the chart, graph

or picture you are about to analyze by reading all answer choices!

Read ALL answer choices.Eliminate any choice(s) that you know is a wrong answer. The choice is obviously trash! Slash the Trash!!

Once you have chosen your answer, plug itin and make sure it makes sense.

Charts and maps provide informationto answer questions. Analyze all information provided before answering questions.

marked…Yikes! It will be wrong! Be sure to click on the answer you think is the right answer!
