Telecollaboration

Telecollaboration is bridging the gap between the ASEAN countries to gain and share knowledge about our culture and lifestyle. We can do this by sending questions and receiving answers via the e - mail. The countries that are involved in this program are Malaysia, Thailand 1 , Thailand 2 , and Philippines.

How we worked Firstly we form a group of 6 to 8 students.

Then we start telecollaborating by sending a test message to check wherether our e - mails are functioning well and to introduce ourselves to the learning circle.

Then, we start asking and answering questions that are posted to us.

When all of that is done we summarize and post our conclusion.

At the end we send “GOODBYE” messages and part from the learning circle.

Most students in Thailand receive about RM 10 pocket money a day from their parents. However they feel that they should be given more pocket money to spend on their school activities. But they managed to save about 2 % of their pocket money every month. They saved their money in the bank for their education.

THAILAND

Most Malaysian students get their pocket money from their parents.They saved their pocket money in the bank or a piggy bank for future use.

MALAYSIA

Exchange rate : RM 1.00 = 14 pesos

Students in Philippines in different levels get different amount of pocket money. They get their pocket money from their parents. They also save a little amount of their money. They keep their money in piggy banks, coconut shell banks, bamboo shell banks and others save it in the bank. They save their money so that when they want to buy something they don't have to ask their parents for money. They also want to save for their future.

PHILLIPINES

IN GENERAL

We discovered that every student in the ASEAN region gets pocket money from their parents. The students also save their money for future use. From this project we got to know that we should know how to manage our pocket money be careful when spending our money.
