Jetstar Inflight Magazine Q & A

Q. Top three shopping spots:

Byron Bay has beautiful boutiques where you can find leading Australian designer pieces in womenswear, mens apparel, home wares, soft furnishing and accessories. My favourite three stores are Nami – women’s designer apparel in Lawson Street Byron Bay, Girl overboard for everything swim and Island Luxe – incredible home pieces located in Bangalow just outside Byron.

Q. Best place for outdoor exercise

The famous Lighthouse walk –the most easterly point of Australia. Many stairs and steep hills to climb but the view at the top of the sea, sky and horizon is incredible. Once complete be sure to take a dip in the ocean at the famous Wategos beach.

Q. Best coffee:

Bun coffee! Roasted in Byron Bay, Bun carefully selects its coffee beans locally and from around the world producing a range of fantastic flavours and organic blends. Roasted locally, the Australian coffee is a daily must for every a local, and the perfect Byron Bay souvenir to take home with you if you are visiting with their limited harvest coffee blend packages.

Q. Where to try local produce: The Byron Bay Farmers markets are a must for every visitor. Buy fresh produce, homemade jams and condiments, summer fruits, flowers and organic harvest. Located at Butler Street Reserve every Thursday the market can be a great day out for the entire family.

Q. Best place to stay

If you want to have the complete Byron Bay experience, you can’t go past The Byron at Byron luxury resort. Set within a stunning subtropical rainforest The Byron at Byron provides an idyllic escape in a relaxed atmosphere, with luxury bedroom suites, spa and walk to Tallows beach. With a high number of international, local and celebrity guests the resort is globally recognized for offering a five star Byron Bay experience.
