This Appointment covers the function and comfort selections such as electrical, low voltage,

HELLO TO HOME ORIENTATION

Review and approve your site plan and get a

synopsis of what to expect during the build

AUTHORIZATIONTo move forward with your home, we

require your authorization on your selections.

BUILDING PERMIT PACKET PREPAREDTo build your home, the respective

municipality requires a building permit packet. It includes your site plan, extensive

drawings and specifications. Some communities require ACC or HOA review and

approval as well. It takes a few weeks to prepare all the documents.

BUILDING PERMIT SUBMITTED

The permit packet is submitted to the city and

usually takes a few weeks to approve. There are extensive

fees and costs involved in submitting for permit.

BUILDING PERMIT APPROVED

Once the city grants approval an you have authorized your

Design Appointment selections, we are able to pick up your permit and schedule

your ground breaking.

SITE PLAN APPROVEDYou’ll receive a copy of your site plan for approval at the Hello to Home Orientation.

Once approved, it is included with the building

permit packet submitted to the city.

SITE PLAN DRAWN

This is the footprint of your home on your

homesite and is required for building

permit packets.

SCHEDULE GROUND BREAKING

After we pick up your permit, your home is put in the ground breaking

queue. Please keep in mind that other homes are in the queue as well. Rest assured, you’ll get scheduled in

the soonest available opening.

STRUCTURAL ORIENTATIONQC POINT #3

Before insulation is installed, a Community Representative will schedule this one-hour meeting with you and your Construction

Manager to review your electrical and low voltage selections.

INSULATIONInterior batting insulation is

installed. An inspector will inspect the insulation and give approval to

start hanging drywall.

PLUMBING, HVAC & ELECTRICAL ROUGH-INSYour internal HVAC units and vents, water lines, electrical lines and outlet boxes are

roughed-in.

FRAMINGQC POINT #2

Framing takes two to five weeks, depending on the size

of home and complexity of the floorplan. Once framing is complete, roof paper and windows will be installed.

PRIME, DOORS & MILLWORK

Hand-texturing is complete and interior walls are sanded

and primed. Windows are wood-wrapped, then,

baseboards and door casings are installed.

HANG DRYWALL, MUD, TAPE & TEXTURE

The drywall is hung, then, joints are mudded and taped. After that, walls are hand-textured

and sanded. This process takes a few weeks.

COUNTERTOPS INSTALLED

Cabinets are measured and a template is created

for your countertops. Countertops are installed approximately one week

after cabinets are measured.

PLUMBING, HVAC, ELECTRICAL FINISHES

Faucets, shower heads, toilets and bathroom accessories are installed. Final

outlet connections are made and lighting fixtures and switches are

installed. A city inspector will inspect these components and sign-o� on them. This can take several days.

VINYL & TILE FLOORING, CABINETS & TILE SHOWER

TRIM #1Vinyl flooring, tile flooring and tile shower is installed (if purchased).

Cabinets are installed and a Community Representative

reaches out to schedule your New Home Orientation (NHO).

INTERIOR PAINTDoors and millwork are

caulked and the first coat of interior paint goes on. Your

Construction Manager locks in dates for the remainder of

your build schedule.

PAINT & DRYWALL TOUCH-UPSQC POINT #4

Touch-up items are completed. Your Construction Manager

does a quality check and creates a list of items that need attention before the NHO and

has the items addressed.

FLOORING INSTALL COMPLETETRIM #2 & 3

The remainder of the flooring is installed and

the first construction cleaning is done.

MOVE-INYou may pick up your keys

once your loan has o�cially funded and title has recorded

in your name.

SIGN LENDING & TITLE DOCUMENTS

After you’ve completed your Final Walk, you’ll sign closing documents at the title

company. Funds must transfer to the appropriate parties and title must be

recorded in your name.

NEW HOME ORIENTATIONYou’ll meet with your Customer Care Representative and learn about the function of your new home (at least 8 calendar days

prior to close).

12-MONTH WARRANTYThirty-days after moving in, a Warranty

Walk-thru will be scheduled. As issues arise over the next year, make sure to submit

requests on the website. At the eleven-month mark, another Warranty

Walk-thru will be conducted.

FINAL WALKYour Final Walk occurs one day before

closing escrow and is held by your Customer Care Representative. At this

meeting, you’ll finalize items noted from the NHO and learn about the Warranty process.
