As a resul t of t hese benefits, c o m yields h a v e a v e r a g e d 108 bush-els per a c r e on the conserva t ion fields, compa red with 72 bushels on the c o m m o n fields Ip the 1B42-49 pe-riod. Soybean yields h a v e a v e r a g e d 37 bushels per a c r e c o m p a r e d to 30; w h e a t 34 bushels a s aga in s t 27: a n d h a y yields 2.2 tons p e r a c r e com-pared with 1.2 tons.
