2. Studentsmusthavepersonalmedicalinsuranceordepartmentinsurancecoverage.

3. Studentsshouldhaveaconfidentandstrongswimmingability,ifthisisnotapparent,youwillnotpasstheclass.

• StudentwillneedtoprovidetheirownLifejacket,Helmet,Harness,Wetsuit/Drysuitandfootwearforthecourse.Rentalsareavailable(seedetailsbelow).

CertifiedTraining:NFPA&CSFM WehavebeentrainingprofessionalrescuersfromallovertheCaliforniaandtheWesternUnitedStatessince1997.Uponcompletion,studentswillreceivecertificationmeetingtheNationalFireProtectionAssociation1670&1006standardsforropeandwaterrescueguidelinesforthe“SwiftWaterandFloodRescue“TechnicianLevel”certificate.Additionally,studentswhohavecompletedtheOperationalcoursewillreceivetheCaliforniaStateFireMarshal’sOfficeFSTEP“RiverandFloodWaterRescueOperational”certificate.Courseistaughtbyacertified,NFPAandStateFireTrainingOfficer.ThiscourseexceedsqualificationstomeetFederal,StateandLocal-governmentFire/Police/USARTeamstandardsforurbanandremote-areatechnicalroperescue. Withsafetyasourhighestpriority,ourmissionistoprovideaninnovative,thoroughandconcisetechnicalrescuetrainingprogram,focusingofqualitycontrol!Weareexperienced,line-of-dutyfirefighterswhoregularlyrespondtothesetypesofemergenciesteachingandpassingonourheritage.
